About Emily
Emily was born March 21st, in Flint, Michigan, but currently resides in the beautiful Willamette Valley of Oregon
with her husband Curtis, and 6 year old daughter Deandra Ember Rose. Emily is a Mommy, dog trainer, photographer and artist.
Her main artsy focus is sculpted, and painted dog art, but she took up spinning in 2002 as a form doggie related art by spinning chiengora (a.k.a. dog fluff) for pet owners from their beloved pets fur. This love of spinning dog fluff has grown into an obsession for anything fibery; and with 18 drop spindles and 2 spinning wheels it obviously keeps growing!
Along with her art Emily's hobbies include photography, running the well known
EaglesEye Rattery raising
pet and show rats, and judging in rat shows. Emily is interested in canine search and rescue
and sport/performance training, and volunteers for many animal
rescue groups, including donating time, skills, and art for fundraising.
Most of the time Dea keeps her pretty busy but she always
has time for the pets, and her passion for animals! Emily studies
animal science and genetics, and has been considering working
towards an art, or photography degree.
Emily is owned by four dogs,
