An exciting litter born January 31st! Right now, it looks like there is 4 boys, and 3 girls. The litter sire is owned by Under Cover Rattery and was graciously loaned to EAGL!
After being moved in with other boys after breeding, Egypt showed signs of rat aggression. This is the first time there has ever been a problem with him, so he's being watched closely, and will be watched close when he goes back home to Marianne.
Stress from being in a strange location could be a contributing factor for his odd behavior, and I did not preform proper introductions as suggested when introducing males which is a factor, and common cause of rat aggression in males. Anytime a rat shows rat aggression it's a cause for concern, as I do not typically have trouble with introducing males, or deal with rat aggression issues here.
