Baloo came to us all the way from Colorado, to Michigan where we lived when we got him. He was our officiall 'house rat', who slept with me, and spent more time out of cage, than in the cage with his buddies! He also somehow found a way to get ontop of a 4 foot shelf, and was often found curled up there in a jar... he didn't know how to get down so we had to pull him down!
Baloo had a wonderful (perfect) disposition, and was extremely social. Cage escaping runs in his family and he would escape just so he can visit his animal buddies and us. (Esp at night so he can clean out our ears!) This was the only rat I've ever known of, who could open a martins cage! Baloo was one of the best rats I've ever got from a breeder, and is the foundation of most my rats. I bred a couple exceptional litters from him, and do wish I'd had the time to breed him more than I did!
