Breeder: Connie of Rat Genesis in California

Ruffles was named for the major ruffles on her ears. It's a show fault, but her ruffles stood out a lot and were cute ;)

I saw Ruffles at a show in CA, and fell for her stunning color. Both her parents were direct Aussie imports, so Ruffles was 100% Aussie lines. I never got her pedigree, but I was told she is sibling to RG Peanut. She was always an active girl, including giving the rat sitter a huge embarrousment once, when she escaped into a boys cage and bred a litter with a rescue boy!!! Her son Dever became a favorite rat, and was thankfully not nearly as active as his Mum ;)

Ruffles faded away to old age, and is now burried under our red twig dogwood bush. We bought the bush the day before she passed, and seeing the tree I thought it reminded me of her beautiful color. It seemed like a fitting tribute to this old, wise girl. She was with me through some of my most trying years, from my pregnancy, and birth of my daughter, to the death of my Grandmother which was very hard. Ruffles was there the whole time, humoring me with her unique antics, and humorious disposition!
